Executive Director
Marixa Guevara, who goes by MJ, serves as the Executive Director of The Auberge at Sugar Land. MJ joined the community in June 2024 as the Business Office Manager and, through her dedication and leadership, was promoted to Executive Director in September 2026. In her role, she leads the community with Auberge’s guiding philosophy that “We Are All Family,” ensuring that residents, families, and team members feel supported and valued.
MJ’s passion for working with the geriatric population began years ago while helping care for her grandmother during her battle with cancer, an experience that inspired her career in senior care. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Licensed Assisted Living Manager, bringing both knowledge and compassion to memory care leadership. MJ is deeply committed to promoting the health, wellness, dignity, and quality of life of every resident in the community.
She believes in creating a warm, engaging environment where residents can feel safe, respected, and truly at home. Outside of work, MJ is a proud dog lover and enjoys spending time with her 14-year-old pit bull, Oreo, who has been a loyal companion for many years.
